По логике вещей - этот мод создан на базе миссии Последний оплот из компании Дорога на Берлин в основной игре. Но накосячили в нём изрядно. Игра вылетает даже не начавшись и пока мод не уберёшь из папки mods, игра не грузится. Выдаёт, что в папке set неисправен файл breed.set , чего то надо исправлять?
This mod was designed for Version 1.12 of the game, not for the current 1.28. Structure of some of the files is different. Exemple : one of the new weapons, the "mortar_m2_60mm" is installed in the directory "..\resource\entity\-weapon\mortar_m2_60mm". According to the "canonical form" of version 1.28, it should be "..\resource\inventory\entity\-weapon\mortar_m2_60mm". A modder named Enforcer did many years ago some modifications in order to to make it compatible with version 1.28.3E. But his work isn't perfect. According to him, even with his corrections : "Warning, this mod often causes the 'Program will be terminated' error, but you are able to play it and even see the 'You win' screen". So unexpected crashes still occur ... I own an original (?) ZIP version of the mod (dated 15/08/2004), size 1108 KB. The file available on MOW-Portal is a 7Z type (modifications of some files dated 04/07/2018), size 1232 KB. I should compare all the files to know if this is the playable version by Enforcer. I remember being able to play it a few years ago (quite difficult by the way), even if it's incomplete. I will look on my discs to see if I have another version of the mod (the playable version ?). Придется многое править по старинке, в "Блокноте", ручками. По крайней мере, в файле breed.set. Приводить структуру содержимого (текста) файлов в папке с файлами мода в соответствие со структурой таких же (одноименных) файлов в окончательной версии "В тылу врага" (Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, SHoWW2) v1.28.3E. Об этом и говорит dgn.
После этого уже можно редактировать миссию с помощью официального редактора. Что облегчит работу в разы. Особенно с триггерами.
До исправления структуры, мод не совместим с игрой любой другой, более поздней версии м не может запускаться в игре "В тылу врага" более поздней версии, в частности версии 1.28.3E для которой уже есть нормальный официальный редактор. И не может быть открыт и исправлен с помощью официального редактора игры "В тылу врага".
Карту мода в существующем виде можно попробовать открыть в неофициальном редакторе, что-то там поправить. Поправить триггеры мода можно, как уже говорил, с помощью "Блокнота" или, что удобнее гораздо, в бесплатном текстовом редакторе "Notepad++". Но до исправления структуры текстовых файлов мода в соответствии со структурой файлов версии 1.28.3E его, опять же можно будет запускать только в игре версии 1.12.
jdoo, спасибо. Я это уже понял от предыдущего комментатора. Уже скачал нотепад и изменил breed.set под версию 1.28.3Е Теперь при загрузке указывается ошибка в каком то непонятном файле, который я никак не найду в моде.
I quickly corrected the "breed.set" file to make it compatible with version 1.28.3 (the easiest way is to use the vanilla "breed" file and integrate the new characters or soldiers from the mod, correcting them as you go. It's less work!).
But it gets stuck afterwards. In particular with the new weapons, ammunition and equipment of version 1.28.3, not present in the file "..\resource\set\stuff.set" of the mod., and which must be declared in one of the files of the directory " ..\resource\set\weapon\", corresponding to their category (smg.inc, pistol.inc ...).
While searching well on part of my disks, I found a conversion for version 1.28.3 of the mod that I had made a few years ago.
But at no time did I touch the map data (therefore, it is quite possible that some triggers do not work). I also didn't add the 2 new features of the mod (60mm mortar and MG42 mount, already not implemented originally), but the mission is playable like this.
I did it according to your method - I took the smg.inc rifle.inc pistol.inc files from tacosmodA6.1 and inserted the Saving Private Ryan Mod 0.9b mod into the weapon folder, again it gives errors and does not start. TacosmodA6.1 mod works for me.
At no time did I indicate that you had to activate a mod other than "Saving Private Ryan" for this one to work. Especially not "Tacosmod", which modifies a lot of things in the game. As a reminder, the screenshot indicates in the left left column the mods present in the "mods" directory of the SHOWWII game, in the right column those which are activated (here, only one, "1.0b").
This is just my development computer with only a few mods present: "Saving Private Ryan v0.9b" by Ditte, my tinkering "Saving Private Ryan v1.0b", "Tacos Alpha-7" and "Tacos Alpha -8" (stand-by version, but on which I continue to develop).
I found all the necessary files with the pistol.inc extension, corrected all the errors. The mod loads, but at the end it gives an error in file 0.mi , I don't like the last bracket in this file. I compared with similar files from other mods and I can not understand the reason and fix the error.
Based on your screenshots, I guessed where to get the files for Ryan. They had to be adjusted, in their original form they did not fit. I also needed a file for rocket weapons, I found it in another mod. Since on your screen there are 7 and 8 versions of Takos, therefore you do not play them, but compare and refine them. It could be a solution. But I adopted another method to make it compatible with version 1.28.3E: I first made it compatible with my own modified (improved) version of SHOWWII, which I would have to publish too. Not very convenient !
When I have a little more time, I will post (here or on the new portal) a functional mod (and independent of "MY" SHOWWII).
