But I was led to exchange a lot with the manager of Best Way, who is leading the current operation (as part of the French localization of the game, then for the beta test of the latest version, 1.28.5.0).
The financial means for this "old" game are very limited (the development team, too). We should not expect anything else innovative, concerning for example the graphic aspect, or the features of the game.
I also note that everyone rushes to post on the Steam site for what has been published for 20 years on the game, forgetting, in the process, to ask the authors' opinion.
But, when you have not created anything yourself, posting the work of others does not require much work or effort ...
If Dinsen, whom I had warned of this new feature, or Albus, make available to everyone, on this site, what they have created, no problem, they know, in principle, what they are doing.
But if individuals post with feverishness on the Steam WorkShop, sometimes without indicating the name of the author (I think to BTRH 1.8, for which I provided the information, forgot when copying the mod from MOW-Portal), everything they have found on ModDB or on the 2 MOW-Portal sites, or elsewhere, and this in order to gain a pseudo "notoriety", they forget the clauses of the Steam WorkShop: a large part of the rights (intellectual or not) passes into the hands of the American company, which can do whatever it wants with them.
With all this, it would be possible to publish a very rich version of SHOWWII. Maybe I am paranoid ? But creating this Workshop dedicated to this "good old game" would be a good way to build up, at little cost, a huge library, free (or almost) of rights ...
Sorry to quote myself (sorry, I am lazy by nature, this will limit my information work), but a little clarification on this subject on the Steam site:
